How Cryotherapy Helps
R3 Sports Recovery's core service is Whole Body Cryotherpay, also reffered to as WBC. This is the practice of using sub-zero temperatures to promote natural healing. This practice of cold therapy for injury and inflammation dates back hundreds of years, although the technology has obviously changed in that time, and the current practice of WBC has been practiced since the late 1970s.

FREEZE FOR ONLY
3 MINUTES IS
ALL IT TAKES!
Exposure to extreme cold has been used for centuries as a remedy to a myriad of maladies, but in 2021 instead of 30-45min in an ice bath, you spend literally three minutes exposed to temperatures of -240F. You're in and out in less than ten minutes with our whole-body cryotherapy sessions!
How It Works:
REMOVE THE BAD.
An average session lasts 3 minutes at -200F. In this time, the blood vessels under the surface of your skin & muscle constrict, which forces blood away from your limbs and toward your body's core. There, the body's natural filtration system begins removing toxins & inflammation from the blood.
REPLENISH THE GOOD.
After your session, body temperature returns to normal and filtered blood begins to flow back into your limbs and peripheral tissue. This blood is cleaner and flush with oxygen, nutrients and enzymes. With the impurities reduced, a feeling of rejuvenation is near-immediate.
RECOVER & RESTART
Within 2 days after your cryotherapy session, your recovery and restoration cycle is usually complete and your body should experience new energy with lessened pain and inflammation. Recovery time from workouts and injury can also be shortened with proper treatment from cryo.
